Liz Sharpe (Laurel) makes her The New Colony and Definition Theatre Company debut in “Byhalia, Mississippi.” A Memphis native, Liz has worked with the Fly Honeys/Inconvenience, and appeared in Angels in America Part I and II (Harper) and directed 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche at Playhouse on the Square.
Evan Linder (Jim, playwright) is a founding member and the Co-Artistic Director of The New Colony. He works in Chicago as an actor, playwright and director. He also teaches playwriting at the University of Chicago. His first play produced in Chicago, FRAT, was named as one of the Best of 2009 in the Chicago Tribune, Windy City Times and New City. Other works include 11:11, The Warriors, The Bear Suit of Happiness (published by Chicago Dramaworks), B-Side Studio and 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche (published by Samuel French) which ran off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse in 2012-2013 and has seen over 30 productions in the US, Europe and Australia.
Richard Edward III is the Executive Film Producer of WPCONVO participant Definition Theatre Company and is founder and Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning definition STUDIOS. He was born in Amsterdam, raised in Atlanta, and we’re lucky he currently calls Chicago his artistic home.
